This project was a combination of creative design and creative concept development. The concept of Avant Garden was based on 3 TED talk transcripts, each of which fit within an Urban-Agriculture juxtaposed theme. The designed elements were created to reflect that dichotomy of modern architecture and organic growth. A hand-bound book with cover and layouts as well as an accompanying advertisement campaign. Organic forms and photography oppose and complement geometrical layouts in order to find unity between theme and design.
Poster designed for a TED event to accompany an Avant Garden Book, and was designed to fit into the established theme and visual identity of the book. It uses visual metaphor and word play to reflect the theme of organic breaking into an urban setting. The bold layout and forms were used to catch the attention of passers-by and hierarchy was implemented in order to disseminate information effectively.
